Leadville Christmas Project - Pictures available

Last year when we began our support of West Park Elementary School in Leadville, Colorado, one of the stories that broke our hearts was about a young boy that was sent to the Principal's office for refusing to complete an assignment. The students were asked to write an essay about something they received for Christmas, and it turns out the boy had not received anything for Christmas. He wasn't being stubborn or disrespectful - he had not gotten a present, so had nothing about which to write.

Not wanting another child to spend Christmas with no presents, we committed to send 15 presents per grade level for grades Pre-K through 4 or 90 presents. While this seemed like a daunting number for such a small church, we continued to believe our God is bigger than 90 presents. We ended up delivering over 100 presents to the kids in Leadville in December. Please visit our facebook page to view the pictures.
